The inauguration ceremony of the Persian language teaching center for non-Persian speakers was held at the Hakim Sabzevari University with the presence of the general director of non-Iranian students in the Ministry of Science and other authorities.

 

The general director of non-Iranian students in the Ministry of Science, referring to the study of 200 foreign students at Hakim Sabzevari University, said: The number of foreign students of Hakim Sabzevari University is a good number of students.

Dr. Alizadeh continued: “We are pursuing two main goals in attracting foreign students, which are the cultivation of the ambassadors and cultural representatives of our country and the prosperity of higher education economics.”

Referring to the study of three million and 500 thousand students in the country, Dr. Alizadeh said: “Currently, in the higher education space of the Ministry of Science, the Ministry of Health and Islamic Azad University, more than 38 thousand foreign students from different countries are studying at the universities of Iran. He added: “There are 27,000 students in the Ministry of Science, 8 thousand students at the Islamic Azad University and 3 thousand students at the Ministry of Health universities.

Studying 200 Foreign Students at Hakim Sabzevari University / An Attempt to Attract 500 Foreign Students

The head of Hakim Sabzeari University, said at this ceremony that the university is the second largest university campus in Razavi Khorasan province and northeast of the country. The university has a very good geographical location for attracting foreign students from neighboring countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and Central Asia. Dr. Ali Asghar Movlavi added that more than 200 foreign students from neighboring countries are studying at Hakim Sabzevari University and we are looking to increase the number of foreign students to 500. He emphasized: “Fortunately, good support has been provided by the Ministry of Science to attract foreign students.”

Director of the Office of International Collaboration at Hakim Sabzevari University said, Professor Dr. Ali Khalaf    Kate, the director of the Arabic group at the University of    Kufa, signed an agreement and introduced as an affiliated    professor of Hakim Sabzevari University.

 

Dr. Gholamali Farroozi in a conversation with the university’s public relations, pointing out that the recruiting of associate professor at Hakim Sabzevari University is based on the emphasis of the Ministry of Science as well as policy of the University in the field of international communication. He said: affiliated professors have Part-time co-operation with universities; They spend academic and research activities in a given period of time attending the university, although their scientific connection with the university is always there. Dr. Farzai, referring to a visit by the High-level board of the University of Kufa, Iraq in May, in the context of expanding bilateral cooperation with Hakim Sabzevari University, hoped Dr. Ali Khalaf Kateq could play an effective role in promoting the academic relations of Hakim Sabzevari University and the universities of Iraq.

 

Signing two memorandums of cooperation between Hakim Sabzevari University and Kurdistan regional Universities of Iraq

Director of International Relations and Scientific  Collaboration Hakim Sabzvari University,   returning from Kurdistan of Iraq, described the   results of his consultations with the officials and   heads of the Kurdistan universities and the   signing of two letters of cooperation between   Hakim Sabzevari University and Kurdistan   regional Universities of Iraq.

Dr. Gholamali Farzai, referring to the fact that about 30 universities and scientific centers of Iran in the field of international communication attended the exhibition, said: “The presence of Hakim Sabzevari University in the exhibition aimed at developing educational and research cooperation with the Kurdistan region of Iraq, providing capacities University and the development of university interactions with universities in this area.

 

 He continued: According to extensive consultations with the Minister of Science of Kurdistan, the Consulate General of Iran in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the officials of the universities of this region, we were able to conclude two memorandums of cooperation with the universities of Salah al-Din in Iraq and the University of Tizzakh.

Dr. Farzai stated: “This Memorandum of Understanding is in the framework of mutual cooperation, including the exchange of professors and students, the organization of joint training courses, joint scientific research, holding scientific lectures and academic co-operation in the fields of basic sciences, Engineering Sciences, Persian Literature, Arabic Literature, and Sport Sciences.

Shafiq East, Cultural Advisor to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, along with Dr Molavi, Head of Hakim Sabzevari University, Dr. Farzi, Director of the Office of International Scientific Collaboration, and Dr. Tasnimi, Director of the Office of the University President, attended in a meeting with Afghan students of Hakim Sabzevari University.

At the meeting, which was welcomed by the broader students of Afghan citizens, the head of the University, referring to the national and international rank of the university, expressed the capabilities of the Hakim Sabzevari University as the second largest scientific centre of excellence in the east of the country.

Dr. Molavi emphasized the deep cultural and social ties between the two countries and emphasized the links between scientific and educational cooperation.

The Afghan cultural adviser, also appreciating the scientific cooperation and opportunities offered by the university to educate Afghan students on the expansion of scientific, educational and academic cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan and the opportunities and potential available in the country. The ceremony of new foreign students

The ceremony of new foreign students was held with the presence of the head of the university, director of the Office of International Scientific Collaboration and Industry Relations, the Director of Public Relations and the Office of the President and the Director of Security.

In this ceremony, the head of Hakim Sabzevari University welcomed the new foreign students pointing to the linguistic and cultural ties between the two countries of Afghanistan and Iran and referred to foreign students as peace ambassadors.

Director of the Office of International Scientific Collaboration and Relations with industry of Hakim Sabzevari University said the attraction of foreign students at this university has accelerated and now 120 non-Iranian students are studying at this university.

Dr. Gholamali Farzi said: Recruiting foreign students, especially students of Afghan citizens, due to the close proximity and Cultural affinity between the two countries, is one of the priorities of the international relations of Hakim Sabzevari University.

Dr. Farzai continued: With the presence of some Afghan students in Kabul and the introduction of university capacities, and interview with 100 applicants, finally 42 students were chosen whom 30 students entered the university after having completed lengthy administrative procedures for issuing visas and attendance.

 

The 9-Step Upgrade of Hakim Sabzevari University in the Scimago Ranking System

The president of Hakim Sabzevari University announced the nine -step upgrade of the university’s ranking in the Scimago ranking system.

Dr. Ali Asghar Mowlavi, speaking with the public relations department of the university, announced that Hakim Sabzevari University ranked 50th with 9 -step up from 2017 among all state, medical, Azad universities and research institutes in the country.

He added that Hakim Sabzevari University, in the newest ranking of this system, could surpass many of the old and modern universities such as Allameh Tabatabai, Kharazmi, Shahid, Arak, Sistan and Baluchestan, Shahrood, Lorestan and Golestan.

The president of the Hakim Sabzevari University, pointing out that Scimago is one of the world’s leading research-made ranking center, said: The Scimago rating system has since 2009 ranked more than 5,000 universities and research institutes in the world in three sections: Publishes, innovation and website.

He continued: “Scimago evaluates and ranks universities based on research performance and in the form of articles indexed in internationally recognized publications. In 2018, 126 universities and institutes rank among the 5632 universities and institutes in the world.

Finally, Dr. Mowlavi, thanks to the faculty members and other academic staffs, knew this success regard to the extensive and endless efforts of these two academic groups.

The “Philosophical Practice of Thinking Practice” workshop was held by Mrs. Isabelle Milon at Hakim Sabzevari University

The “Philosophical Practice of theaching Thinking” workshop was held by Mrs. Isabelle Milon, director   of the Philosophical Practice Institute in France at Hakim Sabzevari University.

The main focus of the workshop was on critical thinking, the art of asking questions, expressing good    reasoning, prioritizing and deciding, clarifying thoughts, understanding, evaluating others, judging and analyzing the text that Mrs. Millon explained to the audience at this 6-hour workshop.

It should be noted that due to the importance of the workshop and the applicability of these subjects in education, coordinated by Hakim Sabzevari University, in addition to university professors, Sabzevar education authorities, school administrators and teachers of different levels attended in the workshop.

The Office Director for International Scientific Collaboration and Relations of Hakim Sabzevari University, said: University of Paris 13 agreed to award scholarships to the distinguished students of the University for further education in Ph.D.

He noted that since signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between Hakim Sabzevari University and Paris 13 communications between the two universities have been pursued very dynamically.

Dr. Farzai added: “Hakim Sabzevari University‘s international relations policy is to bring the university to its deserving place, and in the coming years, there will be a large exchange of students and professors between Hakim Sabzevari University and the world’s leading universities.

 

In order to promote international scientific cooperation, the first member of the faculty member of Hakim Sabzevari University was introduced

In order to promote the international scientific cooperation of Hakim Sabzevari University: the first “Affiliated Faculty Member” of Hakim Sabzevari University was introduced.

The Office Director for International Scientific Collaboration and Relations of Hakim Sabzevari University, said: following international relations of the university, an agreement was signed with      Dr. Farshid Safat, an Iranian elite and professor at the University of Bradford in England as the first affiliated faculty member of Hakim Sabzevari University.

 

Dr. Gholamali Farzai pointed out that recruiting of an affiliated faculty member at the university was based on the regulations of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology on the “process of attracting non-resident elites”, adding that according to the byaw, Iranian scientists living abroad Can have academic and research partnerships with universities in the country as ” affiliated faculty member.

He said: “Affiliated Professors” work part-time with universities and, in a given time period, they attend educational and research activities at the university, although their academic communication with the university is always established.

HSU among the superior universities on the aspect of scientific diplomacy

According to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology report, Hakim Sabzevari University, due to its impressive activities in the field of research interactions, international technology and the use of these interactions to achieve the goals of diplomacy of science and technology, has been considered as one of the six superior universities in country during the years  2015-2016.

It should be noted that Hakim Sabzevari University has concluded international memoranda of understanding with world’s valuable universities and scientific centers in the last two years, involving Paris University 13, University of Lyon, and University of Turin.

These memoranda of understanding are being executed now.
